I also loved their corn salsa and their regular salsa was good too - flavor but not very chunky (which is good for me cause I hate tomato chunks). Highly recommend it. I can't comment on service other than the guy who asked my name was very nice. Looked like a chill place. ”

“ We ALWAYS come to Mother's when we visit OC. They had a 2nd location that is now closed, but we like this spot better anyway. They are still making great tacos and margaritas from what we remember. We obviously came for happy hour and indulged in $5 margaritas and $3 fish tacos. The tortillas made in house are *chefs kiss*. The chorizo tacos were a close 2nd. Honestly, all their tacos are amazing. The nachos, also great: smothered in cheese and toppings...YUM! ”

Their chimichanga burrito is also a great choice, but it can be quite salty. Nothing fancy, but a great casual dining choice. Service is decent as well. ”

“ Great choice. We tried the taco Salads and the fried bowls were amazing.. skipped the besns in it and next time I will ask gor more lettuce, but it had great flavor. The salsa is really good and the question was mild- not very spicy. Cool vibes, great margaritas, but the place is not very clean... the ceiling fans are covered w dirt and dust, bathrooms were a mess too. ”

“ We came here for a later lunch during a weekend in Ocean City. Our friends raved about it and told us they always try to come here for dinner but it's packed. Luckily, during an off-season lunch, there was no wait and it was pretty empty. We wanted to sit in the bar area to watch a football game. The waitress let us choose wherever and even went to go change the channel so we could watch the tech game. She was super friendly, accommodating, and didn't make us feel like we were being annoying or asking too much. She was awesome. Our waiter was equally as amazing. He was quick and efficent. Also super friendly. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, and our waiter also brought us out waters. The margarita was DELICIOUS. It wasn't too syrupy and really fresh. It was so good. It was the best margarita I've had in a while. My husband and I decided to split the 3 taco combo meal. We got a chicken taco, a chorizo taco, and a mushroom taco. The chicken taco was surprisingly our favorite. It was juicy and very flavorful. You didn't even need salsa or any sort of sauce. It was great on its own. Service was amazing, the food and drinks were fantastic. I can understand why it's so popular. I can't wait to come back and get more chicken tacos and margs. ”

“ This is an excellent Tex-Mex option in the OCMD area. Their main draw is that they make all of there tortillas and chips fresh on site! There was a little bit of a wait when we got there but it was worth it. We started with the complimentary homemade chips and salad, which were excellent. I then had the best chimichanga of my life and it was finally cooked the way it's supposed to be cooked (fried crispy)! I chose to fill it with their homemade chorizo (on recommendation of the waiter) and that was spectacular! I paired that with a margarita which was perfectly fine and served in a festive glass. Our waiter was friendly and the service was very quick, even during a busy period. I took off one star because the place is quite dark, sticky and even if it's not actually dirty, it looks and feels that way to me. I was so hungry and the food and drink so good that I was able to just block that out. ”

“ We decided to try Mother's Cantina for dinner during our recent trip to Ocean City. The bright exterior decor caught our attention and we're glad we decided to check it out. We were quickly seated upon arrival. Our server came and took our drink and appetizer orders right away. We started with chips and salsa and added an order of the guac and queso. The chips were warm and perfectly salty. The salsa, queso and guac we're also really good. I was pleasantly surprised! The hit was my surf and turf fajita. It was EXCELLENT! The steak was cooked exactly to my liking and I could tell that the shrimp were fresh and also cooked and seasoned well. My pineapple jalapeño margarita was a perfect complement to a delicious meal! Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely be back! ”
